10.2. How to Find a Winning Product?
Updated over a week ago

One of the hardest things about dropshipping is finding the winning products. We can provide some tools to use, things to consider, or actions to take so you can make an informative decision on creating a product page and start investing your money on ad spending to check if that is the winning product. Here are some tips:

1. Look for products that solve a real customer pain point in health or wealth, are trendy to use, have a strong virality factor, or are relationship niches. These tend to be the most profitable.

2. If you want to use the shortcut, we recommend using tools like Trend Rocket, Dropship, or Winning Hunter to find the winning products. We will not investigate these, but you can check them out and see what they do.

3. Does the product have a wow factor? Do people have an open-mouth reaction when they see the product, or what can that product do?

4. Is your product beginner-friendly in terms of budget for content creation? It is important that you stand out with your content if the product is scalable, and it is important that you can create it within your budget by yourself or someone close to you.

5. Check if the product is searched on Google Trends

6. Google the product or try to find it on marketplaces. You do not want to sell something that is oversaturated, where you will have a lot of competition.

7. TikTok research. Go over hashtags like #tiktokmademebuyit, like, share, and soon, you will be flooded with products shown to you. You do not have to sell those, but you will start thinking in many directions and use those as inspiration for finding your product.

8. Not all viral products are good. Think about who their audience is. Does this audience have money, online spending habits, etc?

9. Make sure the product has good margins. If the product costs you $10, investigate if it is possible to sell it for $30-$50. Do you solve that kind of problem for your passionate buyer persona?

10. Meta Research. Scroll through Facebook and Instagram. Find inspiration.

11. Consider products with good lifetime value. Can you sell something that can be repurchased to satisfy someone's needs? (e.g., special toothpaste, shoe wax, etc.)

12. Is this a product you can brand? If you hit it big with the product, can you brand it, modify it with new features, buy in bulk, earn more, and fulfill it with the help of 3PL partners to grow your company around it?

13. Use your common sense. The last tip is that sometimes you must go with your logic, accumulated experience, and knowledge you have gotten so far. Sometimes, you will be the first to try and sell a certain product. Believe in yourself, and give that one more product a chance. We believe and cheer for you. It is not easy to be the pioneer and reinvent the wheel, but it can pay off.
