Updated over 2 weeks ago

You have probably seen that to connect your store with PagePilot.ai, you need a Shopify key. Shopify key is a code that Shopify uses to allow PagePilot.ai to communicate with it and grants permission to import product pages created in the platform.

This instruction aims to create a Shopify key that we will use to connect Page Pilot with your Shopify store.

Steps:

1. Open your Shopify store admin page, then click on the apps on the left.

2. Click on "Develop apps" in the upper right corner

3. Click on "Allow legacy custom app development"

4. Confirm it by click in on "Allow custom app development"

5. Click on "Create a legacy custom app"

6. Enter name PagePilot and click on "Create app"

7. Click to configure Admin API scopes

8. Search and check the next items: write_products, read_product, write_themes, read_themes, then click save, and on "Configuration" to get the overview.

9. Click on "Install app" once, and then once more to confirm.

10. In your API credentials, you will see the option "Reveal token once". Click on it, and your Shopify API key will reveal. Copy it, and paste it into the PagePilot designated field. Save your key! You cannot view it again.

11. You have done your part in Shopify, and you are ready to start configuring in Page Pilot
